Kim Kardashian Files Trademark To Launch North West Merch — Report

Kim Kardashian has reportedly filed a trademark tied to North West’s name, with an eye on possible toy merchandise. The filing would cover items such as toys, dolls, play sets, puzzles, party games, and puppets — and although a trademark filing does not mean products already exist or that a launch is coming right away, it would give Kardashian the legal right to use “North West” in those categories if she decides to move forward with the plan.

The Sun reported that U.S. Patent and Trademark Office records show Kim Kardashian first filed a trademark associated with North West’s name in 2023. Since then, her attorney has filed more than once to extend parts of the process. Moreover, the report noted that the case remained pending as of September 2025, but West already has a growing portfolio of her own.

She has appeared on tracks connected to her father, Kanye West, and voiced a character in the 2023 animated film “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie” while also appearing on Hulu’s “The Kardashians.” Additionally, she has appeared in SKIMS campaigns, including pajamas she modeled for her mom’s brand. On TikTok, the 12-year-old has a massive following of 20 million followers.

However, West’s visibility has also brought criticism of Kardashian’s parenting choices, especially when critics feel her daughter looks older than her age. Kardashian addressed the backlash during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper in October, saying, “It’s interesting because all the kids are like wearing the same things, but then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again.’”

The reality star added, “Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

As of now, though, there are no confirmed patented toys on shelves. But if the North West trademark moves forward, Kim Kardashian would have the option to build a merch line around her daughter’s name.
