Finn Wolfhard took a magical detour from his Stranger Things fame in a hilariously risqué Saturday Night Live sketch this weekend. The parody, blending Harry Potter with HBO’s steamy show Heated Rivalry, reimagined Hogwarts with adult twists, naked Quidditch, and innuendo-filled encounters. Wolfhard’s Harry Potter navigates a flirtatious, over-the-top version of the Wizarding World that had the audience laughing and gasping in equal measure.
Finn Wolfhard features in ‘horny’ Harry Potter SNL sketch
In the SNL sketch, dubbed Heated Wizardry, Wolfhard played 18-year-old Harry Potter, who meets Ron Weasley, played by Ben Marshall, in a hilariously suggestive first encounter. “You dropped your wand,” Ron says as their hands touch, reaching for it, adding, “It’s lovely, by the way.” The parody fused Harry Potter themes with the steamy energy of Heated Rivalry, turning classic magical moments into comedic, risqué situations.
The sketch featured several over-the-top scenes. This includes Harry and Ron on a broomstick, with Harry’s capes revealing more than usual, and flirty interactions under an invisibility cloak. Snape (James Austin Johnson) and McGonagall (Ashley Padilla) delivered humorous quips, including lines like “Ten points from Gryffindor… but 100 points for my spank bank.” Other familiar faces appeared, including Chloe Fineman as Hermione, Kenan Thompson as Alastor Moody, and Jason Momoa as a flamboyant “old queen” Hagrid.
The sketch had a hilarious poke at Harry Potter fandom, showing the duo spilling their secrets to Hagrid and reworking Quidditch rules with a shared broomstick. Even Dobby got in on the fun, playfully dubbed a “horny elf” by Jeremy Culhane. While SNL definitely took liberties with the wizarding world, it was all in good fun.
Even though it’s just a parody and has nothing to do with the actual story, it’s definitely got fans excited for HBO’s official Harry Potter series, coming in 2027. That show will stick closely to the books and stars Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton, giving fans the faithful wizarding world they’ve been waiting for.
