Finn Wolfhard opened up about growing up on the set of Stranger Things and how the experience taught him more than just acting skills. During his SNL monologue, Wolfhard reflected on the unique challenges of growing up in the public eye, including navigating first kisses, voice changes, and even learning about female anatomy, all while performing for a global audience.

During his monologue on Saturday Night Live, Wolfhard was joined by his longtime co-stars Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, who play Lucas and Dustin in the hit Netflix series. Together, they joked about their transition from child actors to young adults in Hollywood. They further talked about the unusual moments of learning and growing up on camera. “My voice changed on camera, my first kiss was on camera, and the first time I learned what a woman looks like down there was on there as well,” Wolfhard shared.
The trio didn’t hold back on the laughs either. Wolfhard also sipped his first drink on the air, which ended with him accidentally spitting it out onto co-star Marcello Hernández. McLaughlin and Matarazzo couldn’t stop laughing, joking about how weird it was growing up in the spotlight and how internet commentary shaped their early years. They playfully added that now that their child actor days are behind them, they’re more than ready to act in “adult films.”
A little further in the episode, the sketch undertook a playful spin on the Stranger Things world. One imagined the kids as grown-ups in a “Sex and the City”-style life, while others turned familiar characters into satirical news anchors. Fans got silly “what if” scenarios, like Mike living it up in Manhattan, and even a cheeky nod to Will’s coming-out story from the finale.
