Netflix is preparing to deliver another high-stakes chapter of one of its most popular action spy thriller series. The American spy drama created by Shawn Ryan is officially returning with Season 3, continuing its run as a fan-favorite spy series. With an 80% Rotten Tomatoes score, the show has cemented its place as a standout in Netflix’s original action lineup.
The Night Agent Season 3 arrives on Netflix next month
Netflix has confirmed that The Night Agent will return with Season 3 on February 19.
The series once again stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, whose journey continues in what is shaping up to be the show’s most ambitious season yet. The upcoming installment marks another major milestone for the franchise, which has steadily grown in popularity since its debut.
Shawn Ryan, who serves as creator, executive producer, and showrunner, has teased expanded storytelling, new locations, and heightened action. Fans waiting eagerly can expect a globe-trotting narrative that pushes Peter deeper into the dangerous world of covert intelligence.
Basso returns as the central hero, while Louis Herthum reprises his role as intelligence broker Jacob Monroe. Amanda Warren is also back as Catherine Weaver, Peter’s handler, according to newly released first-look images. In addition, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton, and Albert Jones have been promoted to series regulars, signaling larger roles in the evolving storyline.
Previously announced cast members of the Netflix spy series include David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Genesis Rodriguez, Callum Vinson, and Suraj Sharma, who appears in a recurring role.
Although Netflix is keeping most plot details under wraps, a newly released teaser offers a glimpse of what’s ahead. The footage shows Peter navigating a crowded soccer stadium before locking onto a target, followed by intense action sequences.
Production for Season 3 began in Istanbul before moving back to New York State, which remains a primary filming location. Speaking from the set, Basso shared his excitement, noting that the cast and crew are energized and ready to deliver a bigger, bolder season.
