Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Performers Must Be This Tall — Report

Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show comes with a very specific height requirement. The Puerto Rican superstar is all set to headline Super Bowl LX halftime performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8. The Super Bowl committee has issued a detailed list of requirements for the “Field Cast.” This also includes a specific height requirement, which has surprised fans.

Bad Bunny fans notice strict height standards for his Super Bowl Halftime show

Bad Bunny’s fans are taken aback by the Super Bowl’s strict and specific height requirement for the “Field Cast.” The committee has issued a detailed document titled “Super Bowl LX Halftime Show – Field Cast.” The document categorically states that field cast members will shadow the headliner’s movements as performers. However, fans must not mistake this for a dancing role.

There is a separate section for “physical requirements,” which states that the applicant must be between 5’7” and 6’0” with a “slender to athletic build.” Applicants must be willing to wear and move around in costumes weighing up to 40 pounds. The potential field cast member must be comfortable donning a full-body costume for extended periods.

Additionally, they must be comfortable working in close “proximity” with other performers for extended periods. Finally, applicants must be willing to stand and walk for long periods, be agile, and work under crushing deadlines. Unsurprisingly, the list of instructions, specifically the height requirement, has caused an uproar on TikTok.

Content creator Dre Monteon was left speechless by the strict height requirement. She revealed in her January 8 TikTok video that her husband “really thought” she was joking when she conveyed her intentions to volunteer for the halftime show. Monteon remarked, “I mean, realistically, I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it, but still. Like 5’7” is crazy” (via USA Today).

USA Today shared a compilation of fan-made TikTok videos on its YouTube channel. While most expressed shock at the strict height requirement, a few others poked fun at the list. However, most fans took the field cast requirements list sportingly. They joked about their shortcomings and not being slender or athletic enough to be on the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Blacklist Support, who is handling the field cast applications, revealed that the “height requirements will be very important for participation on this one and will be verified through the rehearsal process.”
