Joe Keery swapped his dark tresses for a head of bleach-blonde highlights. Fans had previously caught a glimpse of the new look during the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere in November last year, when the actor sported subtle frosted tips. This time, however, Keery went properly blonde, and fans have mixed reactions to this dramatic change.
Some fans were on board with Keery’s blonde transformation. One X (formerly Twitter) user loved the new look, commenting, “He looks cool as always,” while another gushed, “Joe’s giving main character energy again.” There were several other positive comments, including “He looks great,” “He looks so classy,” “We love you, Joe,” among others.
Amid praises, there were a few fans who didn’t think that the blonde hairstyle worked on him. “Nah man not this hair,” one disappointed user penned, while another complained, “WHY IS HE BLONDE????” Another fan suggested that the “End of Beginning” singer “needs toner.”
