Burger King is testing its breakfast Whopper with new topping
Burger King is trying out a brand-new breakfast Whopper. It is available in select locations as part of the brand’s limited regional testing strategy. Popular food influencer Snackolator first notified his followers on Instagram on January 9 with a graphic post accompanied by a detailed caption.
The new breakfast item features a beef patty garnished with bacon, egg, hash browns, cheddar cheese, and creamy hollandaise aioli on a toasted sesame bun. According to the graphic, the hash browns will be available as a side all day. Notably, it is also available in a smaller version called the Whopper Jr. Additionally, the graphic confirms that Burger King is currently testing breakfast Whoppers in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Portland, Oregon.
According to online menus, Burger King has priced the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper at $7.99, and the junior version costs $4.79. Both items appear under the “Limited Time Only” section (via Dexerto).
Burger King hasn’t confirmed whether the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper will be permanently added to its breakfast menu. Snackolator asked, “Would you want to see Burger King bring this one nationwide?”
Fans have reacted to the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper with excitement and positivity. One fan commented, “BK if you’re listening, Chicagoland needs this!!!.” A second fan chimed in excitedly, “Issa wrap, I’m getting this and all-day hash browns omg.” A third fan wrote, “The way I would encapsulate myself into this sandwich.” Finally, one fan remarked, “I live in southern Oregon but might make the 300-mile trip up and try this! Please roll out with it nationwide.”
Previously, the Burger giant ushered in the new year by launching a fan-made Whopper called The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper. The recipe is suggested by an unnamed fan and perfected by Burger King.
