Sydney Sweeney Details Her ‘Good Scars’

Sydney Sweeney has remained a constant force in Hollywood since her breakout role in “Euphoria.” While the world often focuses on her glamorous red-carpet presence, the actress has recently opened up about her scars.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine on January 6, 2026, the 28-year-old detailed the origins of several scars that serve as a permanent reminder of her dedication.

Sydney Sweeney talks about her scars

During the conversation, Sydney Sweeney shared that her most visible scar, located next to her eye, resulted from a childhood accident. She revealed that at just 10 years of age, she attempted to jump while wakeboarding to perform a 360-degree turn. But the tip of the board sliced her face, requiring 17 stitches to repair the damage.

Sweeney also carries a permanent scar on her leg from a dirt-bike riding accident where she tore her MCL. “Then I have a keloid scar. I got bit in Australia when I was filming the movie Eden, and I don’t know what I got bitten by. It just turned into this crazy crater; then it scarred,” she explained.

The Immaculate star’s marks reflect a personality that Sweeney defines as truly “fearless.” She admitted that while many things scare her, such as her fear of heights, she refuses to let them stop her. “I have a fear of heights, but I jumped out of a plane and went skydiving. I’ll scream the whole way, but then I’ll want to do it again.”

And of course, Sydney Sweeney continues to push her physical limits on screen as well. For her role in the biopic “Christy”, she portrayed legendary boxer Christy Martin and insisted on performing her own stunts.

Fans can see her next in the most-awaited third season of HBO’s “Euphoria,” releasing in April 2026.
