Kanye West‘s daughter North West has returned to Instagram after mysteriously disappearing for a day. The eldest daughter of Kanye and Kim Kardashian had seemingly gone inactive just weeks following her Instagram debut.
North West’s instagram is now back after deactivation reports
North West’s personal Instagram account was reportedly deactivated for a while, three weeks after its launch on December 20, 2025. Several outlets had recently reported that her official handle @northwest disappeared, displaying the “Profile isn’t available” message on screen. However, the account is now back online, as reported by TMZ.
Shortly after she returned to Instagram, North posted a story sharing a photo of her music equipment. She also penned a caption that read, “locking in.” The post comes after the 12-year-old faced online criticism for showing off her eccentric fashion choices that included controversial piercings on the bridge of her nose and fingers, as well as fake tattoos.
North West made her Instagram debut on December 20 with the bio stating, “account managed by parents.” Meanwhile, her father, Kanye West, has often shared his disapproval of his kids using social media. In 2022, the rapper called out his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, for allowing North to post on Tik Tok.
West later posted an Instagram post, saying, “I am her father and I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family [but] I said I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney. I have a say so.”
However, the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” hitmaker seemed to have softened his view on North using social media over the holiday season. He reportedly spent Christmas with Kim Kardashian and his kids, putting aside his differences with his former wife.
Speaking to TMZ, sources close to the family also shared that West has begun to approve of North’s social media activities. The rapper reportedly also asked his daughter to “share fun items and songs of his.”
