Miley Cyrus was loved as Hannah Montana, and fans have always been eager to know more about her acting plans in movies. The pop icon recently answered this question, hinting she is ready to act again, provided the role is right. The star spoke about her willingness to appear on the big screen nearly six years after her last on-screen appearance at the 37th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards, where she received the Outstanding Artistic Achievement award for her Avatar: Fire and Ash song “Dream As One.”
Miley Cyrus gets candid about her acting goals
Miley Cyrus was over the moon for getting an award for her song “Dream As One” at the Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards. However, her fans have always been curious to know if the pop star will ever make an acting comeback. And it seems she is ready. But only if the role is right.
“If the opportunity or the script or the character was right or was designed in a way that I would make sense. I’m totally there,” she told Entertainment Tonight on January 3, as quoted by E! News.
The “Flowers” singer last appeared on screen in a 2019 episode of Black Mirror. However, the Grammy-winning singer is looking forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 2006 hit Disney show, Hannah Montana, in March.
And for this, it seems the diva has already started channeling her character by opting for a Hannah-inspired hairdo featuring the character’s iconic bangs.
Reflecting on her show’s legacy, the singer revealed that the upcoming anniversary celebration will be a memorable one for all. “For me, I love looking back at the growth for both of us because it’s very rare that someone grows up with their fanbase,” she explained at the Billboard News interview.
“So, what I want to do is honor the longevity of the relationship that we built,” since Hanna Montana became the “reality” of her life.
