Timothée Chalamet won the 2026 Critics Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme, portraying a 1950s ping-pong champion named Marty Mauser. During his acceptance speech at the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Chalamet thanked his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, stating, “Thank you to my partner of three years. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you.” He added, “Thank you for our foundation.”
As the camera cut to Jenner, she mouthed, “I love you” in response. The couple also shared a kiss after Chalamet’s name was announced as the winner. Jenner, 28, attended the event in support of Chalamet, 30, and wore a plunging skin-tight dress. Earlier in the evening, Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs paid homage to Jenner and Chalamet’s red carpet look from the Marty Supreme premiere by wearing matching orange vinyl outfits.
Chalamet also thanked Marty Supreme director Josh Safdie during his speech, saying, “You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn’t preach to the audience about what’s right and wrong. I think we should all be telling stories like that.” He added, “Thank you for this dream.” He noted his nervousness onstage, admitting, “I’m more nervous than I thought I’d be.”
Chalamet was nominated alongside Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
Marty Supreme premiered on December 25, 2025, debuting at No. 3 in North America with $17 million, behind Avatar: Fire and Ash and Zootopia 2. This was Chalamet’s fourth Critics Choice nomination.
