Angelina Jolie Faces NYC Art Studio Feud Amid Brad Pitt Battle — Report

Angelina Jolie is reportedly facing another legal challenge, this time tied to her creative ventures in NYC. As her long-running dispute with ex-husband Brad Pitt over their shared French estate continues, a new report claims the actress is now navigating a separate feud involving the name of her Manhattan-based art studio.

According to The Sun, Angelina Jolie is allegedly involved in a trademark dispute connected to her creative space, Atelier Jolie. The studio opened in New York City in late 2023. It’s been described as a hub for artists, designers, workshops, and a café operated by refugees. It has quickly drawn attention for its mission-driven approach to creativity and community.

The reported conflict centers on the studio’s name. Documents cited by the outlet claim that another art business operating under the same name, Atelier Jolie, has formally opposed Jolie’s trademark application. The Pennsylvania-based gallery, which is said to have been operating since 2021, reportedly argues that the identical name could cause confusion among consumers due to similarities in purpose and offerings.

The opposing business, run by artist and entrepreneur Omnaia Jolie Abdou, allegedly filed paperwork with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The company asserted prior use of the name and claimed it has built brand recognition through years of promotion and artistic work. As reported, the filing requests that Jolie’s trademark registration be denied.

Meanwhile, Jolie’s legal team has reportedly pushed back. They argued that the two entities operate in different markets and confusion is unlikely. According to court filings referenced by The Sun, attorneys for both sides are said to be engaged in settlement discussions. They have also reportedly requested extensions to allow negotiations to continue.

The studio dispute comes as Jolie remains embroiled in a separate and much higher-profile legal fight with Brad Pitt over Château Miraval. The former couple purchased the French property in 2011, and its value has since reportedly grown substantially.

Pitt has alleged that he played a central role in building the winery’s success. He later claimed Jolie sold her stake without his consent. Jolie, for her part, has countered with claims disputing his account of events. This includes allegations tied to the breakdown of their business relationship.
