Outer Banks’ Lilah Plate Talks Dad’s Alleged Misbehavior on Set

Months after Outer Banks executive producer Jonas Pate was accused of screaming at and shaking a female production assistant during filming, Lilah Pate, one of the stars of the show and the daughter of the accused EP, has spoken out about the allegations.

Lilah Pate defends father and Outer Banks creator Jonas amid ongoing allegations

Lilah Pate, who plays Peeler in Outer Banks, is the daughter of Jonas Pate, one of the creators of the show and an executive producer. She recently shared her stance on the allegations involving her father.

An October 22, 2025, report alleged that Jonas Pate got physical with a female production assistant. According to the report, he screamed at the PA and shook her by the shoulders.

The alleged incident occurred during the filming of the fifth and final season of the Netflix series. TMZ reported that tensions were running high on set when the incident allegedly took place. Chase Stokes reportedly intervened and stopped the altercation.

Now, series star Lilah Pate appears to have addressed the situation publicly. She recently posted a TikTok video of her father wrapping production on the fifth season. In the comments, one user asked whether her father screamed at her “like he did the employee.”

She responded to the comment by writing, “Don’t believe everything you see online.” Prior to this exchange, Lilah had not publicly taken a clear stance on the allegations. Her response suggests that she is standing by her father, who has also been a frequent collaborator. In addition to Outer Banks, Lilah also appeared in The Runarounds, another project created by Jonas Pate.

Lilah Pate has also expressed appreciation for her father’s work on several occasions in the past.

Outer Banks Season 5 will conclude the series. With production now wrapped, the final season is expected to premiere in 2026. Meanwhile, the first four seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
