Kyle Chrisley, Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley’s first son, was recently arrested and is facing multiple criminal charges, including charges for assault of law enforcement officers. The arrest comes amid his and his wife’s ongoing dispute with Rutherford County and two sheriff deputies.
Todd Chrisley arrested for domestic assault, public intoxication, and more in Tennessee
On December 20, the Rutherford County sheriffs arrested Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son, Kyle, on multiple criminal charges in Tennessee (via TMZ). He is allegedly facing multiple charges that include public intoxication, domestic assault, disorderly conduct, three charges for assaulting a first responder, and resisting arrest. Details about his arrest have yet to be made public. He will appear in front of a judge on January 27, 2026.
This is the second arrest that Kyle has faced. On September 9, 2024, Kyle and his wife, Ashleigh, filed a lawsuit against Rutherford County and two sheriff deputies for $1.7 million after they arrested him. The couple alleged that the authorities falsely put Kyle under arrest and punished him “for calling for help” (via PEOPLE).
According to their filing, “a disgruntled mechanic, angry over a payment dispute, showed up uninvited, kicked at their doors, threatened violence, and used his car as a weapon by ramming their SUV and nearly running Kyle over in front of multiple neighbors.” The hearing for this case is on February 26.
A few months before that incident, Trump had fully pardoned Kyle’s parents for tax evasion and bank fraud. The couple faced charges for tax evasion and conspiracy, and 12 counts of bank and wire fraud. U.S. District Judge had sentenced the two to 12 years and 6 years in prison, respectively. Additionally, the court ordered a fine of $17.8 million in restitution (via PEOPLE).
The pair then began serving their sentences in January 2023. However, in May 2025, Trump announced that he would be pardoning them, clearing them of all charges. In total, Todd and Julie served approximately 2 years and 4 months in prison.
