Terminator Star’s Latest Apple TV Show Gets Canceled After 1 Season

Apple TV+ has decided not to move forward with its latest plane crash drama, ending the series after just one season. The Alaska-set thriller The Last Frontier has been canceled following the conclusion of its first season and will not continue beyond its initial 10-episode run. As of now, the streamer has not provided the official reason behind cancelation.

Jason Clarke-led The Last Frontier canceled

Apple TV+ has decided not to continue The Last Frontier, bringing the Jason Clarke–led drama to an end after a single season.

The decision follows the show’s 10-episode run, which premiered on October 10 and concluded on December 5. According to Variety, Apple declined to move forward with a second season.

Although the project garnered early interest ahead of its premiere, reception was mixed once episodes began streaming. The show holds a 46 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 26 reviews, and Apple has not provided a specific reason for the cancellation.

The series follows Clarke as Frank Remnick, a U.S. marshal overseeing an expansive and sparsely populated region of Alaska. However, soon a crisis is triggered by the crash of a prison transport plane in remote terrain.

The incident leads to the release of numerous dangerous inmates and places the surrounding community at risk. As Remnick works to protect the nearby town, he begins to suspect the crash was not accidental but part of a carefully planned scheme with serious consequences.

The cast also includes Dominic Cooper as Levi Taylor Hartman, Haley Bennett as Sidney Scofield, Simone Kessell as Sarah Remnick, Tait Blum as Luke Remnick, and Dallas Goldtooth as Hutch among others.

The Last Frontier was created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, who served as executive producers alongside Clarke, Laura Benson, Albert Kim, Glenn Kessler, and director Sam Hargrave. The series was produced by Apple Studios.
