David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly been in an estranged relationship with their eldest child, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, since earlier this year. Their son has even snubbed many important family milestones since then.
From not attending Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show to missing his father’s 50th birthday and knighthood, Brooklyn has maintained his distance from his family for a long time. Additionally, recent reports of him dropping his Beckham surname have further escalated the issue, leaving his mom devastated.
Despite the pain, Victoria is now focused on having a good time with the rest of her family members on holiday. The 51-year-old “is determined not to let the argument with Brooklyn ruin Christmas, even though she is absolutely heartbroken by it,” an insider told The Sun.
“It’s been a year since they last all saw each other, and it’s something she will never come to terms with,” the person noted. But Victoria “won’t let it get her down over the festive period as she needs to be strong, especially for Harper, as well as her parents and David’s parents.”
The insider further added, “They have done nothing in all of this.” However, “it seems like they’re the ones being punished the most.”
Even Harper “misses her big brother and Nicola” a lot. And while Victoria has “given up on him calling her,” she is “hoping that Brooklyn at least calls his grandparents over Christmas,” as they really miss him.
