Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, model-actor Elsie Hewitt, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple shared the happy news a few days after her arrival, turning a new page in their love story. It’s a huge, full-circle moment for Davidson, who has long talked about how much he’s wanted to be a dad.
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt announce their daughter’s birth
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt officially shared the baby news, and fans are melting. Their daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, was born last week. Hewitt broke the news on social media, posting sweet, close-up moments of their new little family and birth date.
“Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025,” she wrote, adding, “My best work yet, I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.” She also included a short message from Davidson that read, “wu tang forever.”
The name they chose carries a personal meaning. Scottie pays tribute to Davidson’s late father, Scott Davidson, the New York City firefighter who lost his life while responding to the September 11 attacks. The middle name, Rose, comes from Hewitt, who shares it as her own middle name. In the photos, the couple kept things low-key and protective, covering their daughter’s face with a heart emoji.
Davidson and Hewitt went public with their romance in March, then shared the pregnancy news in July. Fans instantly flooded them with love, especially since Davidson has never hidden how badly he wanted to be a dad. After the announcement, he told E! News that everyone around him was thrilled. He said people knew this was always his dream, and he felt incredibly “lucky” and “happy.”
Davidson has also shared that losing his father at just 7 years old deeply shaped his goal to grow up and be a parent. Support has been rolling in from friends and former coworkers. Pete Davidson’s longtime SNL castmate Kenan Thompson had nothing but kind words to say, sharing back in August in an interview with Parade that he believes Davidson will be a “hyper-dedicated dad.”
