Gwyneth Paltrow revealed grandfather’s reaction to topless scene: ‘Two eggs, sunny side up’
Gwyneth Paltrow’s much-awaited movie, “Marty Supreme,” will hit theatres this Christmas. And to talk about the movie, the actress recently visited the sets of “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” At the show, she shared how her 19-year-old son, Moses Martin, reacted to her intimate scene with co-star Timothée Chalamet and also revealed her grandfather’s hilarious reaction to her topless scene in one of her previous films, leaving everyone laughing.
During the December 15 episode of the talk show, when the host asked how her teen son reacted to her love scene with the actor, Paltrow admitted it was “not great.”
The Goop founder even revealed that she “did warn” her son about the scene. It was during this time, when the mom of two shared an experience she had with her grandfather while watching her topless scene in 1998’s “Shakespeare In Love.”
“It’s funny because you grow up doing these things in movies, and I remember once, I was so scared because I was taking my grandfather to see the premiere of Shakespeare in Love,” she shared.
“I was like, ‘I have this topless scene, Grandpa, but it’s like part of the thing because they think I’m a boy.’ I was trying to prep him for the whole thing, and he just goes, ‘Ah, I seen it before. Two eggs, sunny side up.’”
Hearing her funny and “fantastic” narration, the host, Seth, then suggested that she should have suggested something similar to her son. “I mean, based on how you just delivered it, you should have said that. Don’t sell yourself short,” he said, adding, “What a pearl of wisdom to pass down to the next generation.”
