Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship became a cultural phenomenon, even influencing the NFL franchise. As she continues to influence fans at every stadium she visits for Chiefs games, Swift, this time, drove up sales of a particular camera. Fans spotted her filming with a Camp Snap handheld digital video camera, AKA CS-8, leading the company to ramp up production.
Taylor Swift’s $200 digital camera is selling out
The “Bad Blood” singer arrived at the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, December 14, in attendance for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers game. During the game, fans spotted her with a vintage-looking video camera, as she filmed the game from her seat, looking through the viewfinder.
Soon, an Instagram user shared snaps of the moment on their fan page, with the caption, “Taylor filming at the last Chiefs game!” Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift’s use of the CS-8 Digital Video Camera from Camp Snap caused it to sell out quickly.
Camp Snap’s official website now mentions under the $199 video camera, “We’re blown away by your support on the CS8! So many of you have ordered the CS-8 that we could fill Madison Square Garden (seriously)!” As the camera started flying off shelves after fans saw Swift use it, the company told TMZ, “Absolutely insane! We are about to stock out!”
The camera comes with a reusable and rechargeable battery and an option to choose between various aspect ratios. It also comes with 5 different vintage built-in filters including standard, vintage 1, vintage 2, Analog and B&W.
Moreover, the camera comes with an in-built microphone, as well as an optional Microphone jack included. The 4GB SD card included in the box records footage of up to 4 hours, while users can also upgrade to a maximum of 128GB, recording up to 16 hours.
Once again, this surge in demand perfectly illustrates the Taylor Swift effect.
