Rob Reiner & Wife Michele’s Official Cause of Death Revealed

The authorities have finally revealed Rob Reiner, and his wife, Michele official cause of death. The statement comes three days after the LA Fire Department found the couple dead in their Brentwood mansion on Chadbourne Avenue on Sunday, December 14.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially revealed that Rob and Michele Reiner died from “multiple sharp force injuries.” The record has also classified the deaths as “homicide.”

Authorities have charged the couple’s second son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths. He did not enter a plea during his court appearance on Wednesday, and his arraignment was postponed until January 7, at the request of his attorney, Alan Jackson.

According to the Associated Press, Nick sat in a custody area behind protective glass at the LA courtroom. He was held in shackles and was wearing a suicide prevention smock. When the judge asked Nick if he agreed with the new arraignment date, he replied with “yes, your honor,” his only words during the brief appearance. The accused is currently being held without bail.

Meanwhile, Hollywood continues to mourn the death of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele. There has been an outpouring of tributes from across the industry. He was a revered filmmaker, known for directing timeless classics like This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally…, and Stand by Me. Reiner had also acted in numerous popular movies and television shows, such as The Wolf of Wall Street and The Bear.

Furthermore, Rob Reiner’s other two children, Jake and Romy, shared an official statement with PEOPLE, addressing their parents’ death. “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,” the siblings stated. “The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”
