Ex-Prince Andrew & Sarah Ferguson To Seize Last Royal Lodge Christmas — Report

As the royal family prepares for another traditional Christmas season, new reports suggest Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson may be facing a very different kind of holiday. With changes to their royal standing and living arrangements looming, the former Duke and Duchess of York are reportedly considering how to spend what could be their final Christmas at Royal Lodge.

Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson to ‘take advantage of’ last Royal Lodge Christmas — report

While the extended royal family plans to gather at Sandringham for Christmas Day, reports suggest the palace has not invited Andrew and Ferguson. Instead, royal watchers believe the longtime former couple may choose to celebrate privately at Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate they have shared for years, despite divorcing decades ago.

Royal biographer Andrew Lownie told Cosmopolitan UK that the pair allegedly have several options for the holidays. One likely scenario, he suggested, is that they spend one last Christmas at Royal Lodge before relocating sometime in the new year.

Lownie claimed the former couple may choose to “take advantage” of the occasion by entertaining close friends who have remained loyal over the years. According to him, Andrew in particular is said to maintain long-standing friendships that could factor into their festive plans.

That said, Lownie also noted that the pair could opt to spend Christmas elsewhere, particularly if preparations for their reported move are already underway. Either way, he suggested that the holiday is unlikely to be a bleak one, describing the situation as far from a “terrible Christmas.”

It is also uncertain whether their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, will join them. Both remain invited to the traditional Sandringham celebrations, and sources indicate that the option remains open to them. Last year, the sisters split their time between royal festivities and celebrations with their in-laws.

According to Lownie, family dynamics may influence this year’s decisions. He described relations as “tense,” which could make a reunion at Royal Lodge less likely. Instead, Beatrice and Eugenie may choose to attend the larger Sandringham gathering or spend the holidays with their spouses’ families.

If reports are accurate, this holiday season could mark a symbolic closing chapter for Andrew and Ferguson at Royal Lodge, one they may choose to celebrate quietly, but deliberately.
