McDonald’s XXL Fries Now Available in This Country

McDonald’s has now launched brand-new XXL-sized sides called Party Fries. This extra-large option is now available in Thailand. It provides customers with a significantly larger portion than in a typical order. The trend follows earlier limited runs of oversized fries in other countries.

McDonald’s launches new XXL fries called Party Fries

McDonald’s Thailand began selling Party Fries on December 1, 2025. The offering comes in an extra-wide box and sells for about 99 THB (roughly $2.70 per portion). The company describes the item as a larger, shareable version of its classic fries, served in a distinctive, wide tray rather than the standard carton.

McDonald’s has framed these XXL versions as limited-time, novelty items. Availability is currently limited to participating Thailand restaurants, and the company has not announced plans for a broader, global rollout.

The Thailand launch appears to be part of a broader test of larger fry formats. Earlier in 2025, McDonald’s Japan introduced a “Grand” size that was larger than a standard large, suggesting the chain has been experimenting with larger portions and local promotions across multiple markets.

The Party Fries rollout follows a similar limited promotion in Malaysia earlier this year. In July, McDonald’s Malaysia introduced the “Fan Fries Meal” to mark International French Fry Day. That version included the oversized fries plus a small drink and a side, and retailed for about $2.34.

The Malaysian release proved popular and sold out quickly, with locations running the promotion only through July 13. McDonald’s Malaysia chief marketing officer Chin Mei Lee explained the idea behind the item, saying, “We know how much Malaysians love our fries – it’s never enough! That’s exactly what inspired the McDonald’s Fan Fries Meal.” (via McDonald’s Malaysia)

Fans outside the region who missed earlier runs or the Malaysian Fan Fries that sold out will likely be watching future local menus to see if XXL fries come to their market.
