JD Vance’s Wife Finally Has an Answer to Missing Wedding Ring

Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance, has directly addressed the divorce rumors started by her occasional absence of a wedding ring. She dismissed the speculation as a “family joke” and revealed why she often removes the ring.

Usha Vance clears the air about marriage speculation

JD Vance’s wife tackled the persistent online theories about trouble in her marriage head-on. The speculation ignited after Usha Vance was spotted without her wedding ring following a viral moment where her husband shared a hug with Erika Kirk at a political event. Usha firmly stated that these theories lack validity.

“I find that one of the really curious things about this life is that people really like to read the tea leaves, and there’s a kind of an industry building stories about everything that they can imagine,” Usha told USA Today. She explained that while she and the Vice President find humor in the conversation, they do not “find it fruitful” to engage with the rumors.

“I’d rather just sort of live in my marriage and in the real world and less in kind of the fever dreams that surround it,” she quipped. “So I mean, it is kind of a family joke, but also not something that I spend very much time thinking about.”

Then, JD Vance’s wife provided a straightforward reason for her wedding ring going missing every now and then. “I wear it when I wear it, and I don’t when I don’t,” she said. This aligns with her spokesperson’s comments last month to People, who stated Usha “is a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.” JD Vance’s wife and he met at Yale Law School and married in 2014, are parents to sons Ewan, 8, and Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 3.

The viral hug that partially fueled the rumors happened in October when Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, noted similarities between her late husband and the Vice President before hugging him on stage.
