Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, has become engaged to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, following roughly a year of dating. The president himself joyfully announced the news at a White House holiday gathering.

The engagement moved from speculation to official confirmation in a characteristically Trump fashion. At a White House holiday party on Monday night, President Donald Trump revealed to attendees that his son and Anderson were engaged. “They get along very well, and they are just announcing through me that they’re getting married,” President Trump stated, calling the couple to the podium where Donald Jr. thanked his fiancée for saying yes (via Page Six).
Andrew Surabian, a spokesman for Donald Trump Jr., subsequently confirmed the engagement to news outlets. The announcement finally put a public stamp on a relationship that has been on the tabloids for months, following hand-holding photos of the pair in Palm Beach last December.
The engagement is a new chapter for the 47-year-old Trump Organization executive, who is a prominent figure in Republican politics. His relationship with Anderson blossomed after his previous engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and Republican surrogate, ended. Guilfoyle was sworn in as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece in September and departed for her post last month.
Now, this will be the third engagement for Donald Trump Jr. He was also previously married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 until their divorce in 2018, with whom he shares five children. His engagement to Guilfoyle was in 2020. Now, Anderson has been a steady presence by his side throughout much of the past year, particularly sitting behind him at the 2024 Republican National Convention even as he was still publicly engaged to Guilfoyle.
As of now, no wedding details about Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson have been announced.
