Donald Trump Roasted by SNL Over New Controversial Photos

SNL opened its latest episode with a pointed political sketch, turning its attention to President Donald Trump. This follows the release of controversial new photos of Trump linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Airing just days after newly released controversial photos, the sketch used satire to address Trump’s public response to the revelations.

Donald Trump gets mocked on SNL

SNL turned its attention to US President Donald Trump during its December 13 episode, using the show’s Cold Open to satirize his recent public controversies. The sketch aired one day after newly released images linked Trump to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.

James Austin Johnson reprised his role as Trump, portraying the president holding a mock press conference aboard Air Force One. The segment opened with Johnson’s Trump saying that he had “took both an Ambien and an Adderall, so we’re gonna see which one wins,” before taking questions from reporters.

The sketch quickly addressed Trump’s appearance in the Epstein-related materials. When asked to respond to the latest batch of images, Johnson’s Trump initially dismissed the matter, saying, “Look, the fact is, these photos are a fake-news Democrat hoax, okay?” However, moments later, the tone shifted after a follow-up question referenced a photo accompanied by the flattering details (via PEOPLE).

The reporter asked, “Well, even the picture of a bowl of condoms with your face on them and the text saying, ‘I’m huge?’” To this, Johnson’s Trump declared, “They’re 100% legit. I love those files. I’m in the files. I took a lot of great pictures! I like that bowl.”

The scene also incorporated portrayals of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and journalist Kaitlan Collins, played by Ashley Padilla and Chloe Fineman, respectively. Padilla’s Leavitt repeatedly attempted to redirect the conversation.

In addition to the Epstein references, the Cold Open also expanded its satire to include Trump’s recent attacks on female journalists and concerns about his health.
