Bigfoot has made an appearance in Fortnite. The giant ape was added after the 39.10 update on December 11. Notably, Bigfoots, or sasquatches, are forest-dwelling mythical creatures who are quite elusive. However, in 1967, Roger Patterson and Robert “Bob” Gimlin snapped footage of the mythical creature, seemingly confirming its presence to be real.

Fans spot Bigfoot in Fortnite and express their excitement on X. However, it’s not easy to trace the mythical creature. He is strong, cannot be defeated easily, and disappears if the player gets within a 35-meter distance. Unsurprisingly, fans are excited about the development in the 39.10 update on Fortnite.
One fan commented, “This is the kind of update that keeps the game fun, unexpected, and full of moments everyone will be talking about.” A second fan shared a meme of IShowSpeed with the comment, “Bigfoot in Fortnite before GTA 6.” A third fan wrote, “That’s a great addition”.
Furthermore, a fourth fan penned, “It’s the little things like this that make me love Fortnite.” Finally, one fan remarked, “Wild how every frame already feels iconic. This one’s about to hit different on the big screen.”
Notably, it is unclear if this is just a promotional tactic, a fun Easter egg, or if Bigfoot has a larger role to play in Epic Games’ plans. Fans of the game may recall The Wanderer from Chapter 5, Season 3, who behaved in a similar fashion. However, despite its name, Bigfoot is actually tiny in size and hence harder to spot (via Dexerto). Interestingly, Bigfoot appeared in Fortnite six years ago, in 2019, but this is his first addition as an NPC.
Moreover, reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian joined the Fortnite world as a playable celebrity. She announced her collaboration on X and even shot an exciting promo. The collab launched on December 13 and is available in the Item Shop.
