Vin Diesel has now invited Cristiano Ronaldo for an appearance in the Fast and Furious franchise. He stirred the pot online after posting a picture with the football star. The actor hinted that Ronaldo could appear in the next and final Fast & Furious movie. This has fans questioning what role the newcomer could be cast into.
Vin Diesel has reportedly added Cristiano Ronaldo to his upcoming movie
Actor Vin Diesel uploaded a picture with Cristiano Ronaldo on his Instagram. He captioned the post, writing, “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you, he is a real one. We wrote a role for him… @cristiano.”
Diesel’s post stopped short of a full confirmation from Ronaldo himself, and details about the part remain unknown. For now, the report rests on Diesel’s comment and the photo the star shared.
If the cameo is real, it will join a large list of familiar faces slated for Fast X: Part 2. The film will bring back franchise regulars, including Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez. Diesel has also said that the character Brian O’Connor, originally played by the late Paul Walker, will return in the final installment. The movie will be screening in theaters in April 2027.
Louis Leterrier will direct the film, with Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel credited as writers. Those names suggest the creative team is maintaining continuity with the franchise’s recent entries, while aiming to close the long-running saga.
Even so, production is being shaped by tighter financial limits. The Wall Street Journal reported that Universal imposed a smaller budget for the sequel after the tenth film cost roughly $340 million to make, despite grossing more than $700 million worldwide.
A Cristiano Ronaldo cameo would follow a recent pattern of high-profile cameos and crossovers in big franchise films.
