Elon Musk’s ex, Grimes, recently took to social media to reveal that he initially followed her but later blocked her. She said she is now living life on her own terms and is focused solely on co-parenting. She also added that she is no longer interested in the social media drama surrounding following and unfollowing Musk.

Grimes recently responded to a fan comment who asked her why she isn’t following Musk on X (formerly Twitter). Responding to the comment, she tweeted, “For context I’m just living my life. He followed me then blocked me. I’m not gna be following and unfollowing. My only priority is co parenting, i am not interested in public dramatics.” She concluded her tweet with, “This is so silly lol.” The duo shares three children named X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Tau Techno Mechanicus.
Earlier this year, Grimes took to X to express her disappointment with Musk for keeping their children out of the public eye after he brought their four-year-old to the White House for a media briefing. She wrote, “I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse. I’ve seen young ppl destroyed by the internet … The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day.”
She also wished there had been a law that could have protected children from leading public lives. However, she no longer trusts the law to help her with it. “We are in the Wild West of information content and the dismantling of privacy and it’s very concerning,” she further wrote.
Romance rumors began in May 2018, when Grimes and Musk made their Met Gala debut. Later, Grimes confirmed that their connection began when Musk saw her tweet about Roko’s Basilisk and slid into her direct message. After three years together, the duo called it quits in September 2021. They patched up again, welcoming a baby girl, Exa Dark Siderael, via surrogacy, before separating again in March 2022. The following year, Grimes filed a lawsuit against Musk seeking parental rights over their three children.
