Liam Neeson on if He’s Against Vaccines After Doc Narration Controversy

Veteran actor Liam Neeson has clarified that he is not anti-vaccination, following his recent documentary work that appeared to express skepticism toward vaccines. The Schindler’s List star confirmed that his participation in the documentary does not reflect his views on the controversial subject.

Liam Neeson clarifies his stance on vaccines

Over the years, there have been many claims that vaccines are a ploy of pharmaceutical corruption. Many also believe that they have adverse effects on the human body. A recent documentary, Plague of Corruption: 80 Years of Pharmaceutical Corruption Exposed, based on the 2021 book of the same name by Kent Heckenlively and Judy Mikovits, explores just that.

Liam Neeson, the Academy Award-nominated Hollywood star, narrated the documentary. This immediately led to speculations about Neeson being anti-vax.

A representative for Neeson was quick to dismiss the claims and allegations with a statement. “We all recognize that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with opposition to vaccines,” the representative said to Entertainment Weekly in a statement. “Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with UNICEF underscores his long-standing support for global immunization and public health initiatives. He did not shape the film’s editorial content, and any questions about its claims or messaging should be directed to the producers,” he added.

Interestingly, Liam Neeson has previously advocated for vaccines as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

Apart from Neeson, Plague of Corruption: 80 Years of Pharmaceutical Corruption Exposed also features an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services, who is a renowned vaccine critic.

The film deals with topics like autism linked with vaccines and the polio vaccine causing the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of these notions have already been disproven.

Meanwhile, Liam Neeson is continuing his other projects in Hollywood. He has several upcoming projects, including Cold Storage, Hotel Tehran, 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, and The Mongoose.
