Supergirl movie said to be ‘very good’

Early internal reactions to DC Studios’ upcoming Supergirl film appear to have begun circulating online. The cut is reportedly receiving strong praise.

Renowned scooper Daniel Richtman recently reshared a post from X (formerly Twitter) user The Moonlight Warrior. They stated that multiple members of SAG had described the film as brilliant. The Moonlight Warrior wrote, “I’ve heard from multiple people in SAG that Supergirl is amazing.” Richtman stated that he had heard similar remarks. He added, “I’ve heard the same as well, that the movie is very good.”

As of now, the film has not yet undergone public test screenings. However, several outlets have reported that a preliminary cut was shown to Warner Bros. executives and a small group of attendees. The early preview of the film reportedly received a warm response from those in attendance.

Another X user, @DeadmanBostonB, commented that someone they know attended an early studio screening and described the reaction as favorable. They wrote, “I know someone who was at a test screening, he said it had a very positive reception and foresees the movie being very well received.”

The story follows Kara as she travels across the galaxy to mark her twenty-first birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along her journey, she reportedly meets Ruthye, a young woman whose tragic circumstances draw Kara into a dangerous mission of revenge.

Milly Alcock leads the movie’s cast as Supergirl. She is joined by Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, and Jason Momoa as Lobo, among others. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 26, 2026.
