Blake Shelton is reportedly providing support to Keith Urban as the country singer continues to adjust following his recent divorce from Nicole Kidman. According to RadarOnline.com, Urban has been in contact with Shelton as he navigates the personal and professional problems following the end of his marriage.

Insiders told the outlet that Shelton has been offering advice based on his own experience with highly visible separations. “Blake is the veteran of two failed marriages himself, and he’s learned how to survive a divorce, especially one that plays out in the public eye like Keith’s appears to be doing now,” a source said.

Sources speaking to the outlet stated that the two artists have grown closer while working together on music reality series The Road. According to a source, ”Blake understands from the guy’s perspective and he’s letting Keith know he’ll have tips and support to offer.” Shelton has also reportedly assured Urban that their discussions will remain private.

The publication also reported that Urban has distanced himself from many of his long-time friends following the end of the marriage. An earlier RadarOnline.com story suggested Urban had expressed discomfort with some of Kidman’s acting roles that involved intimate scenes with younger costars. There were also rumors that Urban had formed a bond with a younger touring guitarist prior to the formal separation. However, neither Urban nor Kidman has addressed any of these claims publicly.

Kidman filed for divorce on September 30 after nineteen years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
