Donald Trump Lashes Out at Journalist in New ‘Truth’ Post

Donald Trump has once again ignited a controversy by lashing out at a New York Times reporter in what becomes another personal insult directed at a female member of the media. Last week, the President received backlash for calling a female journalist “piggy.” This time, Trump took to Truth Social to speak his mind about New York Times reporter Katie Rogers.

Donald Trump lashes out at female journalist again

President Donald Trump has again criticized a female member of the press, calling her “ugly inside and out,” after the newspaper ran a story suggesting that Trump was running low on energy in his 80th year. He insisted that he had never worked harder in his life.

In his Truth Social post, Donald Trump targeted New York Times journalist Katie Rogers specifically. In his lengthy post, Trump addressed the story from the newspaper, saying, “The writer of the story, Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out.”

There have been discussions about Trump’s health in the past, with the President becoming the oldest person ever to hold the office. Trump admitted to having an MRI last month but claimed that it was a standard physical procedure.

Charlie Stadtlander, a spokesperson for the New York Times, addressed the President’s comments, saying, “The Times’s reporting is accurate and built on first hand reporting of the facts. Name-calling and personal insults don’t change that, nor will our journalists hesitate to cover this administration in the face of intimidation tactics like this.” He added, “Expert and thorough reporters like Katie Rogers exemplify how an independent and free press helps the American people better understand their government and its leaders.”

Donald Trump has a history of directing personal insults at female members of the press and has done so multiple times in the past.
