In an announcement on her Instagram profile, the What Was I Made For? singer posted about the film coming out soon, along with her collaboration with James Cameron, the acclaimed director of the Avatar franchise.

“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on March 20th 2026 !!!! ??? this has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with,” Eilish wrote on her Instagram profile, “@jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it :’)?⭐️??”

The post, as one would expect, attracted a lot of attention as fans showed their eagerness for this concert movie. Cameron, moreover, is known for his work with the 3D medium, as seen in the two Avatar movies.

Billie Eilish previously teased the project during a sold-out concert in Manchester this summer. “So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here,” she explained to the crowd, “Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will, and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

Now, with the date of the film out, there is a renewed interest in this anticipated collaboration. More updates will follow.
