Director James Gunn recently took to his official account on Threads and shared another update regarding the upcoming DCU movie Man of Tomorrow.

Gunn shared an image and wrote in the caption, “New stack of storyboards ready for the crew Monday morning. #MoT.” The DC Studios co-CEO also shared another set of storyboards on Threads before this update. However, no further information regarding the movie’s plot has been revealed yet.

Several rumors are circulating on the internet that suggest popular Superman antagonist Brainiac will be the main villain of Man of Tomorrow. However, Gunn has not confirmed this yet.

When addressing these rumors while speaking to Entertainment Weekly in an interview in September, Gunn said, “Listen, of course I wasn’t unaware that when I posted the cover of the script that there was going to be discussion around that particular topic. But I think we’ll hold off from what exactly is happening.”

In another chat with The Hollywood Reporter during the same month, the Guardians of the Galaxy director shared, “I’ve already finished the treatment for the next story in what I’ll call the ‘Superman Saga.’ I’m working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today.” The image that Gunn uploaded to announce Man of Tomorrow shows Lex Luthor in his classic green and purple colored robotic suit, while Superman stands next to him.
