Grammy Winning Singer To Join Marvel in a Major Role – Report

Marvel fans could soon see one of pop music’s biggest names step into the superhero world. New rumors claim Sabrina Carpenter is being considered for a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Sabrina Carpenter rumored for a ‘huge’ Marvel role

A new report from scooper @MyTimeToShineHello has ignited fresh speculation around Marvel’s casting plans. The insider posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Sabrina Carpenter is also being eyed for a HUGE Marvel role. Who would you like to see her play in the MCU?”

This comes as Avengers: Doomsday is in the making. However, according to earlier rumors from June, Carpenter may be in the running to join the upcoming X-Men reboot.

The strongest rumor points to Carpenter being considered for Dazzler, a fan-favorite mutant who converts sound into light. As earlier reported by MyTimeToShineHello, “Sabrina Carpenter is now being eyed to play Dazzler in the MCU.” The singer-actor has reportedly met with the studio to talk about the role of Alison Blaire, though no official casting announcements have been made.

Carpenter’s potential casting comes as Marvel slowly lays the groundwork for its X-Men revival. While formal casting has not yet begun, several actors like Harris Dickinson, Margaret Qualley, and Julia Butters were previously rumored for major mutant roles such as Cyclops, Rogue, and Kitty Pryde. Other names reportedly in consideration include Trinity Bliss, Javier Bardem, Hunter Schafer, and Ayo Edebiri.

Although widely known for her chart-topping music career, Carpenter’s acting resume spans film and television. She has been seen in Adventures in Babysitting, The Hate U Give, The Short History of the Long Road, and Netflix’s Tall Girl films.

Now, Marvel’s revamped X-Men project continues to develop behind the scenes. Jake Schreier, who helmed Thunderbolts* for Marvel, might direct the upcoming reboot. Marvel has not yet revealed a release date.
