Kevin Spacey gives update on life
Two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey spoke about his livelihood being critically affected by the sexual misconduct allegations brought up against him in the past. In an interview published by the UK’s Telegraph, Spacey opened up about how he is facing high legal costs and has to live in hotels and Airbnbs due to very few work opportunities. “I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain,” Spacey reportedly said.
“The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out,” Spacey shared in the interview. During this tough time, Spacey worked for small-time filmmakers on small-scale projects. However, he remains hopeful about making a comeback in Hollywood. “We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work. And that will happen in its right time,” the House of Cards actor shared. “But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission, by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.”
He continued to be optimistic about a comeback, saying, “So, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan (his manager) tomorrow, it will be over.” Last year in July, during his appearance on Piers Morgan, Spacey broke down into tears when talking about learning from the past and getting through adversity. He also revealed the foreclosure of his house in Baltimore, and not being sure where he is going to live.
