Kevin Jonas has spent almost 20 years delivering standout moments in music, TV, and film. However, there’s one spotlight he keeps dodging, and that is the Dancing With the Stars ballroom.
Even with Season 34 of DWTS in full swing and everyone chasing that Mirrorball, the oldest Jonas brother still isn’t planning on walking the dance floor.
Kevin Jonas explains why he declined to participate in Dancing With the Stars
Kevin Jonas recently admitted that he’s been on Dancing With the Stars’ wishlist for years. Nick Jonas went on to disclose that the invites have rolled in “pretty much every season for the last 20 years” during an InStyle fan Q&A.
Kevin Jonas nodded, saying, “For a long time.” He shared that the offers keep coming, but he is not interested. “I have said no,” he explained, making it clear the ballroom “is not for me.” Still, he stressed that he’s a big fan of the show and prefers watching it.
Even though Kevin doesn’t have plans to become one of the show’s contestants, he keeps up with Season 34 and its finalists like Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles, and Dylan Efron. Kevin is also rooting for Dylan Efron and Robert Irwin.
“I will say, we watch the show. It’s very fun. I feel like it’s really back. Dancing With the Stars is fully back,” he stated.
The brothers also hinted that fans might hear some Jonas Brothers tracks in the semi-finals or that massive three-hour finale. Kevin stated, “I’m pretty sure they’re about to perform one of our songs,” which means fans could be dancing along to a very familiar track during one of the season’s biggest nights.
Notably, the brothers have been promoting their new project, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, which features their other family members as well.
