In an earlier interview, back when Jake Paul’s match-up with Gervonta Davis wasn’t canceled, John Fury weighed in on the prospect of the 28-year-old boxer getting into the ring with Anthony Joshua. (via IFN)

“You know, I wish Anthony all the best of luck, but Anthony, listen to me, don’t take a dive with this Jake Paul, mate. Do not do that, not for a billion dollars, my pal. Don’t do it. Don’t do what the others have done. Do not take dives. If he fights you, knock him dead as a nit, and good luck with it,” Fury remarked with little hesitation.

The interviewer then mentioned how his son and two-time heavyweight boxing world champion, Tyson Fury, had put a $1 million bet on “Jake Paul knocking out Joshua.” Apalled at the suggestion, John Fury simply stated, “You see what I’m saying? How’s that work? He can’t, can he? Anthony Joshua could knock Jake Paul out with his d–k. So if it goes any other way, you know, it’s f—–g fixed. Don’t you? Enough said.”

Jake Paul is currently scheduled to face Anthony Joshua on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. While his now-canceled fixture against Gervonta Davis was an exhibition match, that won’t be the case with Paul’s fight against Joshua. Instead, it will be a sanctioned heavyweight fight that will reportedly last for eight three-minute rounds.
