Scooter Braun Could’ve Acquired This NSFW Platform — Report

A new report outlined one of the most unexpected business discussions surrounding Scooter Braun. Multiple outlets stated that the American businessman had explored a potential move that would have placed him at the center of a major digital subscription platform known for creator-driven content. The former music manager was described as being involved in preliminary talks regarding a possible acquisition.

Report suggests Scooter Braun wanted to acquire OnlyFans

Reports state that Scooter Braun entered talks to acquire OnlyFans. Two sources familiar with the discussions said he had begun “quietly negotiating” the deal several weeks prior. The former music manager reportedly lined up financial backers and held discussions with CEO Keily Blair and deals executive Jamie Sharp.

Puck reported that Braun had mapped out a potential role that positioned him as “the face and brains” of the adult subscription platform. The outlet added that the negotiations collapsed recently, with Braun choosing to walk away. OnlyFans generated $6.6 billion in revenue in 2023, according to a filing obtained by Reuters. Press reports valued the company at around eight billion dollars.

TMZ published additional details about the discussions. Their sources said Braun met with OnlyFans representatives, who provided him with paperwork outlining possible terms. According to the outlet, Braun reviewed the documents and ultimately opted to pass on the opportunity.

OnlyFans is owned by Ukrainian American businessman Leonid Radvinsky through Fenix International. Reuters reported in May that L.A. investment firm Forest Road Co. was among the groups evaluating a bid. OnlyFans noted in an annual report that the platform reached $7.22 billion in gross revenue for 2024, a nine percent increase year over year. Blair also said in October that the platform had paid an estimated $25 billion to creators since launching in 2016.

The reported Braun talks surfaced after years of high-profile shifts in his career. His past client list included Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

At the time of writing, Braun has not addressed the reports.
