Meghan Markle’s tribute was to remind public of Prince Harry’s ‘life of service,’ per expert

According to The Mirror, the Duchess of Sussex marked Remembrance Day with a heartfelt post dedicated to Prince Harry and veterans worldwide, and experts suggest her words carried a deeper meaning. On the evening of Armistice Day, Meghan shared on Instagram a well-known clip of Harry from his 2013 deployment in Afghanistan. The video shows the Duke of Sussex swiftly removing his microphone mid-interview to board a helicopter for duty.

In her caption, Meghan wrote, “As my husband says, ‘Once served. Always serving.’ Thank you to all who served, sacrificed, and continue to serve. Honoring you on Veterans Day. And every day.” The message paid tribute to military personnel while highlighting her husband’s continued commitment to service.

According to body language and communications expert Judi James, the post seemed to be both a personal nod to Harry and a subtle reminder to the public of his dedication. She told the outlet that Meghan’s use of the phrase “Once served, always serving” appeared to be “a personal homage” to Harry and a way of expressing “ongoing admiration and respect.” James added that the post’s tone was deeply affectionate, suggesting it could even make Harry “blush” by placing him at the centre of the tribute.

However, James also noted a symbolic layer to Meghan’s post, suggesting it was designed to remind the public of Harry’s “life of service” even after stepping back from royal duties. She explained that, amid occasional criticism or public scrutiny, the Duchess’s words may serve as a pointed reminder that “Harry is one of the veterans that the day was all about”.
