Kim Kardashian Richer Than Taylor Swift, New Reports Show

Kim Kardashian just pulled ahead of Taylor Swift in terms of net worth — and she did it with her shapewear brand. According to Forbes, the business mogul’s fortune has climbed to an estimated $1.9 billion, officially surpassing Taylor Swift’s recently reported 1.6 billion net worth. Now, Kardashian holds the edge. And if SKIMS keeps soaring, her overall fortune could grow even bigger.

Kim Kardashian edges past Taylor Swift, now has higher net worth

Forbes reported that Kim Kardashian has officially surpassed Taylor Swift in her net worth. This financial leap has come after Goldman Sachs Alternatives led and secured a new $225 million funding round for Kardashian’s company, SKIMS.

The new investment pushed the brand’s valuation to a whopping $5 billion, adding another $200 million to the reality TV star’s overall fortune. In the company’s press release, Kardashian said, “We can’t wait to take Skims to the next level as we continue to innovate and set the standard for our industry.”

Kardashian launched SKIMS in 2019, and it continues to expand far beyond its shapewear roots. The brand now sells everything, from activewear and loungewear to menswear and, soon, beauty products and fragrance.

With 20 stores already open across the United States and Mexico, the company reportedly plans to become a brick‑and‑mortar giant within the next few years. Co‑founder and CEO Jens Grede said the new milestone “reflects continued confidence in our long-term vision.”

Meanwhile, Swift’s wealth comes largely from her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” her high‑value music catalog, and years of chart‑topping hits. Forbes noted that the pop star became a billionaire in 2023, becoming the first musician to reach that level primarily through performances and songwriting. Swift’s empire also includes around $110 million in real estate and a music catalog worth roughly $600 million.

While Taylor Swift’s net worth comes from music streaming and touring, Kim Kardashian’s success proves that business empires can rival even music royalty.
