Tom Cruise’s alleged ex, Ana de Armas, is reportedly in final negotiations to star in the upcoming film “Reenactment” alongside Benicio Del Toro and Cameron Diaz. Notably, Diaz has been a long-time friend and co-star of Cruise. The two stars have done two movies together: “Vanilla Sky” and “Knight and Day.” Reportedly, Cruise and de Armas broke up recently after allegedly dating for a couple of months.

CEO Today reports that it is a high-profile psychological thriller to be directed by Grant Singer. The film also reunites actor Benicio Del Toro with director Singer and producer Black Label Media after their 2023 Netflix thriller film “Reptile.”
While plot details are under wraps, production will reportedly commence soon in Los Angeles. Producer Patrick Wachsberger of 193 will also reportedly be selling the project at this week’s American Film Market. (Deadline)
Professionally, de Armas has had an exciting year. The 37-year-old actress headlined the “John Wick” spinoff movie “Ballerina,” which was released in cinemas in June. Additionally, de Armas starred alongside Sydney Sweeney and Vanessa Kirby in the film “Eden.”
According to CEO Today, de Armas’ signing on for the film isn’t just a creative decision but a financial one as well, to solidify her position in the industry. Industry sources have noted that “Reenactment” relies on “star-anchored financing,” where producers and financiers bet on the star power of the cast.
The “Blonde” actress reportedly recently parted ways with the Mission: Impossible star. Us Weekly reports it was de Armas’s decision to end the relationship. A source exclusively shared, “Tom and Ana are done for now. It was more Ana’s decision because things were moving fast, and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going.”
However, Radar reports Tom Cruise is “spiraling,” even as he insists he was the one to end the relationship. The source shared, “Tom’s spinning things to make it sound like he ended it – saying Ana didn’t live up to what he wanted.”
“But people close to him know that’s just ego. It’s also juvenile. Really, he’s hurting. She was the one who stepped back, and it’s shaken him badly,” the source added.
