NBA Star ‘Mad’ at IShowSpeed After College Players Dominate Them

IShowSpeed and Kevin Durant struggled with teamwork during their 2v2 basketball match in the latest episode of Speed Goes Pro. The popular creator tried to give his best performance on the court against Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins, but he believed a lack of team chemistry held them back from scoring points. At one point, Durant became furious and left the match midway.

The latest episode of Speed Goes Pro featured two teams: Durant and IShowSpeed vs. D1 college players Hopkins and Ejiofor in a basketball match. Initially, Speed struggled to keep up with them, as their height advantage and basketball skills were hard to match. At one point, he said, “They some big ass kids. I’m 5’10. They’re 6’8, 6’7. They’re too damn big!”

Although Durant and Speed tried their best, they had trouble scoring against their opponents. Speed then blamed their lack of team chemistry for holding them back from putting up a good fight. He said, “Me and KD didn’t have no chemistry. I give him the ball, he’s missing.”

Durant responded to his comment, saying that Speed really needs to work on his basketball skills. He added, “Love his athleticism and agility, but his ball skills—pause—need a lot of work.” As the duo began to lose against their college opponents, Durant became frustrated, removed his shoes, greeted everyone, and left the court after watching Speed’s layup miss the basket.

Back in 2024, during an appearance on Club Shay Shay, IShowSpeed was asked if he thought he could beat Durant in a basketball match. He replied, “Listen, I could beat KD if it’s a full-court 1v1 because of my speed. But half court, yeah he got it, but if it’s a full court 1v1 and I’m running, yeah, he won’t.” While the latest team-up proved disappointing from a game standpoint, fans on social media still praised Speed’s agility.
