Nearly 30 years after intimate photos of Brad Pitt and his then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow were reportedly taken without their consent, fresh attempts to allegedly sell the NSFW images have left Pitt “mortified,” sources claim. The alleged resurfacing seems to have stirred emotional reactions, especially now that both stars have adult children and long, established careers.
Insider suggests Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow’s reaction to racy pics
Brad Pitt is reportedly facing the fallout from a 1990s nude photo incident. RadarOnline reported, citing sources, that a seller is allegedly attempting to fetch a staggering $450,000 for what he claims is the only remaining copy of a 1997 Playgirl magazine issue containing a six-page spread of Pitt during a romantic St. Barthelemy vacation with Gwyneth Paltrow.
The actor, who previously shut down the magazine’s publication with a court injunction, is reportedly distressed to learn that one copy survived. “Brad is mortified. The photos were an invasion of privacy and what was supposed to be a fun and private time with Gwyneth turned into a dirty spectacle for the public,” a source claimed.
At the time, Pitt successfully sued in Los Angeles Superior Court to have Playgirl recall every August issue featuring the headline Brad Pitt Nude! Yet a Michigan resident allegedly claimed he “got it hot off the press” and kept the magazine “in absolute pristine uncirculated condition.” He now alleges that this decades-old copy is the source of the new sales attempt, as per the report.
According to the outlet’s insiders, both Pitt and Paltrow want the long-ago scandal to remain in the past. “Now that Brad and Gwyneth each have grown children, they certainly do not want them to see this scandal from their past resurrected,” the source claimed. The photos allegedly show the former couple kissing, lounging naked around their terrace, and sharing private moments on their hotel balcony. One insider claimed that Paltrow “burst into tears when she saw the pictures.” “With the pictures resurfacing again, it’s becoming a never-ending nightmare,” another source alleged.
Notably, there haven’t been any official comments by Brad Pitt or Gwyneth Paltrow.
