Dune: Part 3 has seemingly wrapped filming ahead of its 2026 release date
According to a post shared by an X (formerly Twitter) fan page that regularly shares updates related to Timothée Chalamet, the leading star of Dune, production on the third part has now concluded.
timothée chalamet nation shared an image of a screen that included a message of gratitude, aimed to thank all the cast and crew members of Dune: Part 3 for effectively wrapping up filming on the project.
The said post also featured a caption confirming the same, reading, “Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune: Part Three’ has officially wrapped.”
While the fan page in question has often shared reliable updates regarding Chalamet, readers should take the claims made about Dune: Part 3’s production status with a grain of salt. This is because, at the time of writing, Warner Bros. Pictures has not shared any official word about the film having completed its filming.
A direct sequel to 2024’s Dune: Part 2, the upcoming Denis Villeneuve feature is expected to adapt the contents of Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah novel, as well as parts of the Children of Dune book.
Timothée Chalamet will reprise his role of Paul Atreides in Dune: Part 3, with Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, and Anya Taylor-Joy, among others, also returning for the third installment. Meanwhile, new additions to the film’s cast include Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, Ida Brooke, and Robert Pattinson.
In addition to helming the project, Villeneuve has also penned the screenplay for Dune: Part 3 along with Jon Spaihts. The movie is currently on track to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
