Frankenstein stars Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac mimicked Scooby Doo in a recent press interview. In the interview, the pair discussed their work on Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein film and other topics like movies that made them cry. The new gothic drama movie premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 20, 2025. It was followed by a limited theatrical release on October 17, 2025, and a Netflix release on November 7, 2025.

Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac recently sat down for an interview with Brut Officiel in which they discussed their work on Frankenstein. During the discussion, the interviewer asked them if they had any movies or television shows they put in the background while doing activities at home.
“I watch a lot of Scooby-Doo,” Elordi replied before Isaac interrupted him with an impersonation of the character. Elordi also joined in and impersonated Scooby-Doo before they both burst into laughter.
The Euphoria actor said he loved the film and Spooky Island, before bursting into laughter again.
Also in the interview, Elordi and Isaac answered several questions related to films, while also touching upon their work on Frankenstein. The former revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem made him laugh. Meanwhile, Isaac shared that the trailer for the short film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey made him laugh, too.
Isaac then shared that Dakota Johnson’s Daddio made him cry. Meanwhile, Elordi revealed that Frankenstein made him cry when he saw it for the first time at the 82nd Venice Film Festival with his and Isaac’s fathers.
Moreover, Isaac revealed that Frankenstein director Guillermo del Toro showed him the incomplete version of the film without music/special effects. He described his first experience as “challenging.” He added that seeing the completed film in Venice made him “fall in love” with it.
Meanwhile, Elordi revealed that he was proud of the fact that he got to share the screen with Isaac.
Frankenstein is currently streaming on Netflix. Besides Isaac and Elordi, the film also stars Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, and Charles Dance, among others.
