A recent report from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) reveals a daytime sighting in Pennsylvania. The encounter had reportedly taken place on October 4, 2025. The incident occurred on Interstate 80 in Centre County. It is near mile marker 169.
The whole thing has left the investigators taking witness testimonies seriously. The sighting involved a driver who claimed to have watched a dark, upright figure cross four lanes of traffic and vanish into the woods in just a few seconds.
Bigfoot sighting reported in Pennsylvania based on ‘credible’ witnesses
According to the BFRO report, the main witness in the Pennsylvania Bigfoot sighting is described as a retired civil engineer and Air Force veteran. They told the investigators that he was following another vehicle at a distance of roughly 150-160 yards. This was when he saw a human-shaped, uniformly dark figure move from the shoulder and cross in front of the car ahead of him.
The witness recalled yelling at the creature. The encounter was brief, and they estimated the figure crossed the highway in about three seconds. They then disappeared into the median without appearing to climb over the guardrail.
The BFRO investigator named Bejamin C., who interviewed the witness, wrote that he found the man “to be sincere and very credible.” The report also mentions another local who filed an account and described themselves as someone with more than 50 years of hunting experience. They insisted that “this was not a bear.”
The witness gave several details that the investigators recorded. The Bigfoot figure spotted in Pennsylvania was tall and slender, moving in a smooth, gliding manner rather than running. It also showed long limbs with arms hanging below the waist. The witness did not see any clear facial features and also did not hear any sound.
Based upon these testimonies, the BFRO report concludes, “It is my assessment that, based upon the information provided, that the witness did see a bigfoot cross the highway in front of him that October afternoon.” (via BFRO)
