Jonathan Bailey has shared a behind-the-scenes peek into the shoot for his latest cover of People magazine, which crowned him the 2025 Sexiest Man Alive. During a recent interview at the London premiere of Wicked: For Good, the actor gushed about sharing the frame with his pet pooch, Benson.
“He is a hot dog!” Bailey told Extra TV. “Some of my friends even came to the shoot not knowing what it was for. They’re like, ‘You’ve got your dog involved.’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, it’s necessary, actually, for this one.’ He is a very handsome boy,” the actor added.
The Bridgerton star continued praising Benson, saying, “He is always full of energy. He’s always inspiring, and he’ll eat anything, which itself is kind of sexy.”
When asked how it feels to be the Sexiest Man Alive, Bailey confessed, “I don’t think you can possibly take it in your stride.” The star concluded, “I take it very seriously, but also with an absolute out-of-body sort of hysterical… You know, I’m gonna have a drink tonight with my family and friends and sort of celebrate how wild and ridiculous it is.”
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting to see Bailey return as Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked: For Good. It is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2024 blockbuster Wicked.
