Josh Brolin recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight when the interviewer asked him what fans can expect from the upcoming film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. He remained tight-lipped about the plot and avoided spilling any potential spoilers. However, he had a good reason for staying silent; he considers himself a “problem child” when it comes to spoilers.
Josh Brolin reveals he is ‘always the problem’
In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the interviewer asked Brolin to tease what fans could expect from Knives Out 3. He replied, “That’s under lock and key. And I don’t know why.” Referencing a shot from the movie whose details he was not allowed to reveal, he added, “They had a paparazzi shot of, like, different characters, and then I mentioned something, and then they go. We don’t want anybody to know who you are. I go, it’s already a paparazzi shot.”
The interviewer responds to whether he’s a problem child. To this, the MCU star said, “I’m always the problem! Whatever I do, I’m always the problem. I’m the problem outside the movie. I’m a problem in this movie. I’m a problem.” He regards himself as an “innocent problem” when it comes to leaking film secrets. Furthermore, he went on to appreciate the talent of the Knives Out cast.
The third Knives Out sequel originally premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025. It will come out in US theaters on November 26, 2025.
