Rebel Ridge star Aaron Pierre, who is set to appear as John Stewart in HBO’s Lanterns and continues to make a name for himself, admits that he has a guilty pleasure. In a recent interview, the actor candidly spoke about his work and life, along with the little treats that keep him going between roles.
Aaron Pierre reveals his guilty pleasure
The Morning Show actor sat down for a conversation, where he was questioned if he had any indulgences.
Talking to People for its Sexiest Man Alive issue, Aaron Pierre replied, “I’m on a mission to be more health-conscious. I used to have a severe sweet tooth, but now I’ll just have dark chocolate. It makes me feel like I’m eating something really naughty.” He further revealed that Hu Kitchen is his favorite.
This confession fits how Pierre describes his relationship with food more broadly and how it makes him “happy.” The 31-year-old revealed, “I love food. Big foodie, so I love to cook, but I like to eat more than I love to cook. I’m very happy to clean the kitchen after I’ve eaten.”
However, when asked if he had a specific recipe that he likes to cook, the Mufasa: The Lion King actor was speechless. He said, “That’s where you’re not going to catch me lying! I don’t have any recipes that impress, but I can cook. If I needed to eat something right now, I could prepare something and I would be able to eat it, and it would be edible.”
During the same interview, Aaron Pierre also revealed his other tastes. He claimed to prefer tea over coffee, not even knowing what the latter tastes like because he has never had a cup. “I wonder what I’d be like on coffee,” he stated.
The Genius actor further shared his love for cleanliness and a tidy home. Additionally, Pierre shared that he prefers staying grounded, hoping to serve and celebrate his community through his work.
